| What is a Photo Montage? |
| A Photo Montage is kind of like a modern day slide show with a lot more pizazz! We can make a copy of your photographs
digitally and then add music, titles, and animated graphics to present your precious memories in an entertaining and emotionally
compelling way. Each picture appears on the screen for about 5-6 seconds and then transitions (more on these below) to the
next picture in an artistic way These Photo Montages are suitable for personal archiving of photo's or for weddings
(to show at the rehearsal dinner or reception), graduations, birthdays, retirement, bar or bat mitzvahs or Any Occasion.
Most of our Photo Transfer business comes from word of mouth as most people who view our work are impressed
enough to want one for themselves. A video sample of a short photo montage is provided below (works with broadband
connections only). |

| How do I Start? |
-The most basic way to prepare photo's for a montage is to just go through your photo's and select the ones that you would like to include
in the montage putting them in chronological order from the oldest to the newest. If you want to insure that the photo's do not get out of order
then number the photo's on the back using a dull pencil (don't press too hard) or a small sticky note that you have written on. Do not use
any type of felt tip pen as the ink can smear onto another photo when stacked. Remove photo's from albums or binders and remove from
paper or cardboard if attached. If you'd like to leave the music selection to us then we will be happy to pick appropriate songs for your montage
based on the type/age of the pictures and the occasion that it is being made for. |

| What photo's work best? |
Any photograph will work whether they are large or small, black & white, color, out of focus, etc. In general, the better the quality of the picture
then the better it will look on video. Remove all photo's that you want to use from album's or frames if possible to do so without
damaging it. Photo's submitted in frames or in albums will add 25 cents per picture to the total cost. Any print media will work as well
such as newspaper articles, invitations, etc. |

| What are some good ways to group the photo's? |
| As mentioned above, oldest to newest is the easiest way to group the photo's but there are many choices if you want to pick themes |

|
| How do I present the photo's to you? |
Please put the photo's in a bag or envelope(s) (if you are mailing then well cushioned with stiff cardboard on outsides to prevent bending).
If the photo's are organized in groups then put each group in a separate envelope or bag (rubber banded or paper clipped also acceptable).
Number the groups to insure that they are transferred in the right order. Any special instructions for a photo should be indicated with a
small sticky note on the front of the photo (examples would be who to zoom in on or crop out or perhaps slow down or speed up the duration
on the screen). |

| What about music? |
Choose songs to use from our extensive list of available photo transfer music free of charge. If you would like to use music that is not
on the list then you will need to provide the music on CD's and we will add the music for a fee of $2.00 per song. If the pictures are
organized in groups then write the song name that corresponds with that envelope, folder, etc. Figure on about 12 songs per minute
ex. 100 photo's would work out to be 9-11 minutes long. If you want to match groups of photo's to the exact length of a song then
you need to add up the total number of seconds in the song ex. (3:20 song length is 200 seconds) then divide by the number of
pictures. Some things to be aware of if you want to match song lengths to pictures are: 1) Some songs actually end or fade out well before the
indicated length of the song printed on the cd so it pays to check the counter on your cd player to determine the exact length. 2) We cannot
do some of the things that add interest to the montage if matching song lengths such as showing both a wide shot & closeup for group
shots as this adds time to the overall length. 3) In most of the montages we produce the music is simply faded at the end of a group or
section. Some groups may require more than one song. Remember that some songs naturally go with groups such as "My Girl" for a girl
or "My Guy" for guy but no songs lyrics are going to match every photo at every point in the song so don't drive yourself crazy over this one!
For an understated and totally safe approach to the music then go with all instrumental only tracks |

| What are transitions? |
Transitions refer to the effect that is used to go from one picture to the next. Unlike an old fashioned slide show where each image abruptly
"Cuts" from one image to the next in a jerky fashion, transitions add a new level of interest and style to the montage. The most common and
"classiest" transition is called a dissolve or crossfade. One image blends smoothly into the next. If you like we can add variety of different
transitions with different shapes (heart, circle, star, etc.), different edges (soft, colored, patterns, etc.) or hundreds of others (too many to
describe). Indicate on the order form the transition style you want. a) Dissolves only b) Dissolves and simple, tasteful transitions
c) Dissolves and some "wild" transitions (Adds a production fee of $10.00 per 50 photo's) d) A Lot of "wild" transitions and some
extra animations (adds a production fee of $15.00 per 50 photo's). |

| How do I make changes after pictures are submitted? |
We highly recommend that you select and organize the photo's/music that you want to use prior to supplying them to us as it is time-consuming
(but possible) to add or delete or change things after we have completed the transfer. If you have numbered the photo's and then think of others
to add simply place the added photo's in the stack in the right place and add an "a" , "b", etc. ex. 81a, 81b. If we have already finished the montage
and after viewing it you decide you want to change something then please contact us immediately as the production is only saved on the hard
drive for a short time after completion. Changes resulting from a mistake on our part will incur no extra charge, changes requested for other
reasons will incur a small additional fee. We archive all the photo montages on dvd for future reference should you decide to order more
copies or add other montages to a previous one created. |

| What about Titles? |
Titles are a great way of introducing and ending your presentation, and when used at key points in your project, can add humour, information, facts, fun and feeling.
We can put your titles onto individual black backgrounds, or we can overlay your title on top of a picture.
Your title can be just one word, or a number of words up to a total of 150 characters (including spaces).
Too many titles can take attention away from the actual photos and videos, so please use sparingly. You receive 2 free titles in our packages, but additional titles come at a small cost because of the length of time they take to create and insert.
Be sure to write the titles you select clearly on paper (and affix to photo if you want) as well as telling us where you would like them placed (or you can leave it up to our creative discretion). |
